The European Association for sustainable Laboratories EGNATON e.V. is the organizer of this FORUM. The association thus pursues its statutory sustainability goals.

In Europe, laboratory research and development are vital drivers of scientific knowledge, technological progress, and sustainable economic prosperity. 

EGNATON is therefore working, among other things, towards a paradigm shift in the public recognition of laboratory sciences, the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, and the life sciences.

The attractiveness of European locations for scientists worldwide is strongly related to the fact that in Europe, sustainability is also beginning to prevail in the planning, construction, and operation of research and laboratory buildings.

The working groups, workshops, and project groups continuously discuss contemporary, sustainable planning concepts and laboratory technologies based on science and technology and develop new sustainability ideas.

To make EGNATON's goals and diverse activities known, EGNATON created a FORUM as a communication platform in 2021.

In the forum, the topics are not primarily discussed nationally but in a European context.

The topics are wide-ranging, and all touch on sustainability in the planning, construction, and operation of laboratory buildings in a broader sense.

EGNATON members and external parties are actively involved in shaping this program.

As a rule, the individual events occur on the second Monday of each month and usually consist of two contributions.

If your company wants to support EGNATON's sustainability goals, we would be glad if you would join us as a member or sponsor our association. 

EGNATON members are following this spirit.  Some of these companies are global players, some are on their way there, and others have more European, national or regional significance. What they all have in common, however, is a particular commitment to sustainability.
