The seminar TTG1 aims at professional and interested groups involved in the planning process of a new laboratory or laboratory conversion, such as architects, technical and laboratory planners, laboratory managers, users and operators, employees in building departments and building authorities, safety experts, and laboratory planners.

for in-person variant: 4 days with 8 h each,

for webinar variant: 4 days with 8 h each.

Participants will learn the basics of forward-looking and sustainable planning and essential planning details so that possible hazards for later users are excluded from the outset through a high level of intrinsic safety. The seminar meets the requirements of Annex 5 DGUV Information 213-850: Criteria for expert laboratory planning considering occupational safety, health and environmental protection. Please also register for the corresponding certificate for the final examination, which you must pass with more than 60%. 

As a member of an architectural association, please get in touch with us in good time. The state chambers of architects can recognise the seminar by on application with approx. six weeks' notice (27 continuing education or 21 time hours).

TTG2 is a seminar for all those working in university and institutional laboratories who want to implement more sustainability in their environment, i.e. laboratory staff, doctoral students, post-docs and laboratory managers. You will get familiar with the definition of sustainability and classification in the research context.

for in-person variant: 2 days with 6/6.5 h each,

for webinar variant: 5 days with 2.5 h each.

We shall focus on resource consumption in terms of Energy and media and Chemicals, consumables, solvents or other resources. How sustainable are your operations, processes and your organisation concerning best practices and focus on energy and water management or best practices and focus on chemicals, consumables, inventory management and procurement? What is meant by intrinsic laboratory safety? And what are the contributions of ventilation and safe working with fume cupboards here? Let us find evaluation criteria for sustainable methods and take tips for long-term implementation and sustainability with you.

For more than mere confirmation of participation, i.e. for a certificate, please also register for the final examination, which you must pass with more than 60%.  

EGNATON Academy also offers freely configurable training units for well-defined target groups. The technical content, temporal scope and implementation language of the respective training then depend on the agreements made in advance, which usually also include quality targets.

A seminar can pick only one specific aspect from TTG1 or TTG2 and deal with it in depth, adapted to the defined target group. However, it can also combine sustainability topics from TTG1 and TTG2 to demonstrate the interplay of planning, construction and operation of laboratory buildings in practice using concrete examples. 

Such combinations are largely negotiable, but in contrast to the ready-configured TTG1 or TTG2 offers, they require a longer lead time at the EGNATON Academy.

TTGflex seminars are particularly suitable for in-house training within a company or an organisation.

TTG1 is currently only conducted in German. However, TTG2 can occur in German, English, or a linguistic mixture. The same applies to specific TTGflex seminars. Already advanced in development is an offering in German of parts of TTG1 and TTG2 for safety engineers and their role in planning, construction and operation of laboratory and research buildings.
